Take A Walk In Their Shoes

Once again America’s biggest box store and the world have lain witness to a crass, pompous bitch berating a man and his family because they are paying for their food with food stamps.

As the verbal spat went down in the checkout line someone thought it would make great YouTube footage.  And now it’s viral.  It’s also disturbing to know there are people out there who think it’s their place to knock down people who are living in poverty.

Yet if the tables were turned?  Who would be berating her?

This bitch needs to get her ignorant head out of the sand.  Most Americans are a paycheck away from food stamps.  I’ll admit I’ve been on food stamps.  My entire childhood was aided by food stamps.  Even as a working adult I received food stamps because the meager funds my first employer considered a “paycheck” wasn’t enough for me to pay bills and put food on the table.

Don’t judge others until you’ve walked in their shoes.  Even then your own feet will stink.

I'm a writer. I'm also a wife and a parent who works too much and lives too little. In addition to writing I also love to read, listen to music, travel, cook, I enjoy looking for bargains at flea markets or thrift stores, Christmas, football and of course writing! How did I come up with the title of my blog? Two things: 1. I live in New England (duh) and 2. Canadian singer Alan Frew once arrogantly told me to "get a New England life"--again--DUH! I already HAVE one!
