Review – Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere

Review – Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere

As a Springsteen fan, I really didn’t know what to expect with “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere”. I was mainly hoping that Jeremy Allen White would do Bruce justice on the big screen. I was pleasantly surprised.

The film revolves around Bruce and his making of his album “Nebraska”. But it also delves deep into Springsteen’s life, through flashbacks of him growing up in a domestically chaotic household in Freehold, New Jersey and the pressure of his record company wanting a new album the way they want it. Thank goodness for Jon Landau (Jeremy Strong) who advocates for Bruce when he presents a simple and raw demo for “Nebraska”. Just the way he wants it.

It’s clear from the movie this was a pivotal time in Bruce’s life: he had just ended a tour, had his first top ten single with “Hungry Heart” and was slowly becoming a household name. His character is left wondering what is next and it’s my feeling with his research for “Nebraska”, it drummed up hardened feelings of life with his father. I found it interesting to learn that many songs that would eventually appear on “Born in the U.S.A.” were initially considered to be on “Nebraska”, even has a potential double album. I’m glad that never happened.

In the end we learn that like anyone else, Bruce is a person first and foremost, before being a musician. He needs to learn to deal with his emotions before he can move forward to become the Bruce Springsteen the world eventually becomes enamored with.

White portrays Springsteen well, right down to the vocals. Strong comes off as very likeable as Landau. In my opinion the casting was right on. It was a very enjoyable film, if only one that Springsteen fans would truly appreciate.

None of the Above

None of the Above

The other day Cunt KKKaroline Leavitt declared from her vile pulpit that “The Democrat Party’s main constituency are made up of Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens, and violent criminals”.

Well, millions of Americans beg to differ.

  1. If we were Hamas terrorists we’d be living in the Middle East and fighting against Israel, especially since the “ceasefire” that SHITHOLE and Nuttynunu “created” is pretty much null and void.
  2. To be an “illegal alien” you have to be illegal and an alien. Many may be, what Cunt Leavitt and the SHITHOLE “administration” consider “illegal”, but nobody is an “alien” unless they are from another planet. We are all human beings here on Earth. Although the jury is out on SHITHOLE. And probably the entire “administration’. They are anything BUT human. More like INHUMANE.
  3. To be a “violent criminal” one must commit a violent crime. Such as raiding the Capitol building on January 6, 2021, smearing shit all over the place, stealing items and hurting and killing law enforcement. Gee, that would be the MAGAASSES, wouldn’t it? Guess THEY are the violent criminals Cunt Leavitt is referring to.

And if the Democrat Party’s main constituency are made up of Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens, and violent criminals, I guess that means the Republican Party is made up of fascists, assholes, shitholes, pedophiles, sexists, homophobes, racists, cons, 34-count charged criminals, narcissists, couch fuckers, idiots, dumbasses, retards and just plain old dangerous MAGAASSES who are so stuck in a cult they can’t see straight.

Hate to be them.

Every Day Is No Kings Day

Every Day Is No Kings Day

Seven million. That’s how many Americans turned out for yesterday’s “NO KINGS” day of peaceful protest against the SHITHOLE “regime” or ” administration”. Whatever you want to call it.

But yesterday was just one day of many that is NO KINGS DAY. Or as I like to call it NO SHITHOLE AS KING OR PRESIDENT DAY. Because EVERY DAY is NO KINGS DAY/NO SHITHOLE DAY.

As I’ve said before, SHITHOLE needs to make up his mind. He can’t be both a “king” and a “president”. He doesn’t even qualify for either position. What he can be forever and ever is a SHITHOLE. He was born a SHITHOLE and he will die a SHITHOLE. And the die part can’t happen soon enough.

SHITHOLE has actually proven that he doesn’t want to be either “king” or “president”. A real “king” or a real “president” wouldn’t have the young whipper snapper AI guru in the Shit House put together an AI video of SHITHOLE wearing a crown and flying a jet, releasing shit on to the American protestors below. We know it was a member of his team (maybe even Gargamel) who put it together. Because God knows SHITHOLE doesn’t even know how to use a computer, much less put together an AI video. Christ, he can barely put two sentences together.

It was very unprofessional, very un-“presidential”, very immature and it will leave a lasting legacy on SHITHOLE. Because when he dies, that AI video is going to be one of the many awful things SHITHOLE has done that people are going to remember him by. Because there is nothing good this SHITHOLE has done that anyone will remember him by. Only the bad.

Review-John Candy: I Like Me

Review-John Candy: I Like Me

When I first learned what seems like eons ago that Ryan Reynolds and Colin Hanks were putting together a documentary about John Candy, my first thoughts were “about time” and “can hardly wait”. When the release date was learned, I put it on my calendar. October 10. Since then I have viewed this well-portrayed and moving documentary three times. That’s a lot of laughing and crying.

The beauty behind this documentary is that it takes the viewer through John’s life in an entertaining fashion, as we get to hear from his numerous loved ones, friends and peers about their experiences with John, as well as view clips from the many movies and TV shows he performed in.

Many things I was already aware of, such as Candy’s love of football, his football injury and his part ownership in the Argonauts. I knew of his work with John Hughes but what I didn’t know was the extent of his friendship with the famous director. It also doesn’t surprise me that he looked out for Macaulay Culkin and that he was known as Johnny Toronto (and to think I only knew of him as Johnny LaRue).

The closing of the documentary doesn’t shock me either when Eugene Levy reveals that while riding in the car during John’s funeral down the 405 that there was no traffic. And that was because the authorities had shut down the 405 for the funeral procession. Something that had only been done for the Pope and a President.

The documentary creators got the title right as well. “I like me” is a line from “Planes, Trains and Automobiles”. It’s something John’s character Del Griffith says after he’s been berated by Steve Martin’s character Neal Page. Although I’m sure John had his demons, as we all do, he really did like himself. As did just about anyone else he encountered in his life.

John Candy was larger than life in all he did. Whether it be with his family or friends or making people laugh with a film. He was truly genuine.

I always say when an artist passes away, be it an actor, musician, dancer, painter, writer, etc., they leave behind a myriad of memories in the form of their art for future generations to enjoy. John Candy was no exception to this fact.

Lead Us Not To The Slaughter

Lead Us Not To The Slaughter

SHITHOLE hired a “yes man” to do his bidding at the FCC.

This “yes man” is “Let’s Go” Brendan Carr who literally threatened ABC and has threatened other companies like a mobster when he said: “We can do this the easy way or the hard way…These companies can find ways to change conduct and take actions on Kimmel, or there’s going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”

Fearing for the loss of their very name and money, ABC pulled the plug on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” without notice. The reason given is that apparently someone (not necessarily anyone at ABC, but more likely SHITHOLE and his “yes man” “Let’s Go” Brendan Carr), didn’t like Kimmel’s Monday’s monologue. Which is Kimmel’s right to do so. If SHITHOLE and his “yes man” didn’t like what Kimmel had to say, all they had to do was change the channel. Because we all know, despite the hatred SHITHOLE has for Kimmel and any other talk show host, SHITHOLE watches them all. Because he loves to hear what these people have to say. Because SHITHOLE is a narcissist fuck. And that’s what narcissist fucks do.

Then SHITHOLE gets himself all in a tizzy (again something narcissist fucks do) when he’s SHOCKED that the talk show hosts aren’t saying nice, positive things about him. Which is hard to do when SHITHOLE isn’t doing anything nice or positive. So what would he expect them to do? Make it up? Yeah, probably. Because SHITHOLE’s life has been one big fat fucking lie. He expects everyone else to lie as well. Sorry, it doesn’t work that way. The talk show hosts aren’t Lyin’ Cunt Leavitt, a cunt who knows she’s lying and has been lying so much if she had to tell the truth she wouldn’t know how.

The kicker is, if “yes man” “Let’s Go” Brendan Carr wants to pull ALL the licenses of ALL the networks out there, GO FOR IT! There won’t be any broadcasting to be had at all. Then where will SHITHOLE spew his shit? On Fake Fox? A network nobody watches? What will you air? Constant propaganda shit? You’ll lose money by the seconds. Only mindless dummies will watch, if that. In other words MAGAASSES.

Now SHITHOLE is claiming excessive criticism of him on TV is “illegal” and is “no longer free speech”. First of all, criticism of anyone is not “illegal”. It is merely criticism. And it is everyone’s right to criticize. It’s SHITHOLE’s right to criticize Kimmel, just as it’s Kimmel’s right to criticize SHITHOLE. But it isn’t illegal. And if you don’t want to be “criticized”, stop doing shit that causes people to criticize you. It’s very simple.

Just because SHITHOLE is allegedly “president”, doesn’t make criticism illegal. In fact, many question his role of “president” because a real “president” doesn’t claim excessive criticism of him on TV is “illegal” and is “no longer free speech”. That would be something a second-grade bully would deem. Secondly, SHITHOLE cannot determine what is and what isn’t “free speech”. That’s what was established in the Constitution. Not the word of the SHITHOLE.

Thirdly, SHITHOLE is claiming excessive criticism of him on TV is “illegal”. He didn’t say anything about excessive criticism in the written word being “illegal”. Therefore, we can forever and ever and will forever and ever excessively criticize SHITHOLE in our musings on paper, in print, on blogs, etc. Because it is our freedom of speech.

Back in 2016 I posted something using the same title as this blog post. It was regarding the Pence incident when he had the audacity to go to a viewing of “Hamilton” (which was his right to do, but still, the audacity). Here’s the post:

As someone who is very fond of the arts, I got chills when reading about “Hamilton” actor Brandon Dixon’s curtain call speech directed at Vice President-Elect Mike Pence.  Pence had taken in the Broadway show and when he entered the theater he was greeted to many “boos” as well as applause from his fellow theater-goers.

Contrary to what a certain ASSHOLE on Twitter referred to as “harassment” of the VP-elect, Dixon’s speech was anything but:

“We, sir, we are the diverse America, who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us.”

Where in this speech does it “harass” anyone?  Dixon didn’t threaten anyone.  He didn’t call anyone names.  He didn’t mock anyone.  He wasn’t like a certain ASSHOLE on Twitter who has done all that.  Dixon was simply expressing his FREEDOM OF SPEECH and stating something that the majority of us are feeling right now.

Then a certain ASSHOLE ranted on Twitter calling the VP-elect “wonderful”–(let us decide that, ASSHOLE)–and then, like the five-year-old child he really is, demanded that the cast of “Hamilton” “Apologize”!  Yeah, he even had an exclamation point.  When reading the tweet I felt like I was reading dialogue from a kid’s book where one of the bullies shouts “They started it!”.  I wonder what he’s going to write on Twitter when a leader from another country refuses to discuss the weather with him or worse, when the bomb drops.

This ASSHOLE needs to do us all a favor: stick his thumb in his mouth, go sit in the corner and pout and stay the fuck off Twitter.  As someone who will soon be the “leader” of this country (God help us all), this ASSHOLE needs to start being more concerned with bigger and better things than what a Broadway actor addressed at his asshole sidekick.

Pence left when the speech began although he allegedly heard it in the hallway.  He left because he’s a chickenshit and he doesn’t care.  If he wasn’t a chickenshit and cared he would’ve stayed in his seat instead of hiding outside.  He would’ve listened intently on what was being said.  And if he was even a decent human being he would’ve approached the cast afterwards and discussed their concerns with them.

I laughed when I read Pence had attended “Hamilton”.  I find it very ironic that someone who is so against LGBTQ rights attended a Broadway play where a great deal of the community is of LGBTQ orientation.  Maybe the real reason Pence left during the speech is that he’s a coward.

And we all know how SHITHOLE and MAGA ended up feeling about Pence, don’t we? Yes. They wanted him hung.

SHITHOLE is HITLER reincarnated
