You Don’t Know What You’ve Got Until It’s Gone

I’ve come to the conclusion that whatever happens with the whole healthcare fiasco happens.

As crazy as it sounds, it actually would be great if this bullshit passed. You know why? Because everything happens for a reason.

First of all, if this shit bill passes it’s going to be a while before it actually goes into effect. If they think otherwise, then things will be really interesting.
Something nobody has mentioned (except Senator Angus King from Maine and my husband), is how this is going to effect everyone. I don’t mean the people who need healthcare. I’m talking about the healthcare workers. I’m talking about the pharmaceuticals. Does anyone know how huge the medical field is? How many hospitals, doctors, nurses, administrative people, pharmacists this bill will affect? Even nursing homes and rehab facilities. Think about it. If nobody can afford to have health insurance, how will any of these medical facilities remain in business? Watch Senator King explain it all here to the hosts of ASSHOLE’S favorite MSNBC show “Morning Joe.

3. Here’s the great part. You know how ASSHOLE keeps pointing the finger at Obama blaming him for this “awful” healthcare that we have? You know, the Affordable Care Act? Well, if this new shit healthcare Congress came up with gets passed and ASSHOLE signs it, guess what? HE CAN NO LONGER BLAME OBAMA FOR SHIT HEALTHCARE! He won’t even be able to blame Turtleface McConnell BECAUSE ASSHOLE’S name will be on the bill! So, you know what THAT means? WE can point the finger at ASSHOLE and he will be the only one to blame.

4. Once Congress gets sick of the mess they created and ASSHOLE signed off on, along with all the chaos it has caused, they don’t even need ASSHOLE to repeal the shit bill and replace it back with–you guessed it–OBAMACARE!

5. Here’s the best part: after all this shit has been done and gone and the ACA is back in effect, people (at least the intelligent ones) will realize that although the ACA may not be perfect, it’s a hell of a lot better than what the greedy GOP assholes stuck us with.

6. It will finally be realized that–DUH!–ACA needs to be revised, not repealed.

Remember: you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.

Pursuing Happiness

Although I have lived in America all my life, these past six months, particularly the past six weeks, have really made me think about where we’ve come from and where we’re headed.

To get where we are we fought hard for our independence. Now I feel we are at a crossroads, still independent and yet timid in expressing our freedom. I feel our democracy slowly slipping away from us and we can’t let that happen. No matter who may want it to happen. We fought too hard for it. Many battles were won. Many lives were lost. To get where we are today fifty-six individuals signed a document stating that Americans were free to seek “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”.

Today when I think of these three words it occurs to me that in order to pursue “happiness” we must first have “life” and “liberty”. The fact that a lot of money-grubbing politicians want to make access to healthcare unaffordable or even impossible for most puts a damper on the whole “life” thing. It’s kind of difficult to lead a productive life if one has to worry about being able to afford medical care for themselves and their loved ones while trying to put food on the table as well.

The definition of “liberty” is: “the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one’s way of life, behavior, or political views”. Apparently some people forgot this word was part of the Declaration of Independence when they decided to ban individuals from coming to America because their life was full of turmoil somewhere else in the world. The meaning was forgotten when they decided to ban people of a certain religion, but only the ones of that religion from specific countries. Nobody in North Carolina knew what “liberty” meant when they felt it necessary to create a “bathroom bill”. Obviously the White House has no idea what “liberty” means as every day they oppress the very people who are America’s first eyes and ears: journalists. They should really pay attention to the key words in the definition of “liberty” that say “free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority”. And apparently even people in Congress have no idea what “liberty” means. If they did know they wouldn’t be seeking the voter details of American citizens. You want my name, address, age, last four of my Social Security number, party affiliation? Fuck you. Because it’s my “liberty” to keep that private. Especially from the likes of what is clearly appearing to be a very corrupt United States government.

Right now because of our rights to “life” and “liberty” being tampered with, I don’t know how anyone can pursue happiness. Who can be “happy” with all this shit going on?

America may have come a long way in 241 years but it still has a very long way to go. With luck the direction will be forward instead of backwards.

Dear Don–Ooops, I Mean Asshole

A #ThrowbackThursday bit from last October. Prediction or prophecy? Certainly karma. Hm…

Dear Asshole:

Since you are running for president and you say this needs to be fixed and that needs to be fixed, one thing I want to know is what is your plan for fixing it?

The other day you said that Obamacare has to be repealed and replaced “Otherwise, this country is in even bigger trouble than anybody thought.” But asshole, there are many of us who don’t feel the country is in trouble. In fact, for many of us, we’re doing better than we were ten years ago. You failed to mention, asshole, the other day and in the past just HOW you plan on making these changes. Please, asshole, we need to know. As the people in charge (and, yes, asshole, WE the people of the United States ARE the ones in charge, whether you like it or not), we want to know what your plan is. Please tell us. Please don’t leave us in suspense. We deserve to know. Or maybe the reason why you’re not saying anything, asshole, is because you don’t HAVE a plan. More than likely that’s it.

There are so many other fantasies you’ve expressed that I want to know the answer to. Like how you’re going to make the Mexicans build a wall. Seriously, asshole. Are you going to hold guns to their heads? How are you going to make them pay for it? Most of those people don’t have a pot to piss in. You’re so ridiculous with your thinking. Build a wall. Christ, that’s something the five-year-old in the playground would say to the bullies trying to get into his sandbox. You want to make America great again, asshole? Grow the fuck up.

Asshole, I’m not sure if you realize it or not but if you do indeed become Leader of the Free World, all your “dreams” won’t come true. Apparently you don’t realize that any of your insane delusions have to be passed by Congress. So if you want to repeal Obamacare, go right ahead and try. Just remember, asshole, that Congress hates your guts and Obamacare is still very much in its infancy. It took eight years to get it to where it is now. And it’s not done growing. It didn’t become developed overnight and it won’t be repealed overnight. For the sake of millions of people in America who have no health care, I hope it never gets repealed. Why would you want to take away something that actually BENEFITS your citizens? Asshole. Then again, you don’t know about citizens having health care, do you? Because your own employees didn’t even have health care coverage! Asshole.

Today you’re all smarmy and giddy, rubbing your hands together like the evil asshole that you are because “new evidence” has come out regarding your opponent. She says “bring it on”. Unlike you who hides and tries to cover up your indecencies and indiscretions with lies, finger-pointing, accusations, and pure paranoia.

You know what you are, asshole? Well, besides an asshole, you’re a SCARED asshole. You’re a scared asshole so deep in shit you don’t know which way is up. And you’ve dragged all your moron followers down with you. You’re so scared you have to blame everyone but yourself for everything that happens to you. But you know what, asshole? In the end you’ll be gasping for air as the shit swallows you whole.

Remember, karma is a bitch. And she really doesn’t like assholes very much.

Another Open Letter To Donald Trump

Asshole Don:

On behalf of myself and many others, we want to tell you we’re really sick of your daily whining about “fake news”. In fact, we want to know the following: if what we hear, see, and read is “fake news”, can you please tell us what the “real” news is? As the American public we deserve to know. You’re always bitching about “fake news” but never tell us what the “real” news is. So let’s have it. We’ll wait.

Considering you’ve spent a great deal of time in the pages of the “National Enquirer”, America’s ultimate fake news, I’d think you could tell the difference. But I guess not.

Maybe the reason why you think there’s so much “fake news” is because you haven’t done anything worthy of “real” news. You know, POSITIVE stuff. Like improving healthcare instead of hoping it gets destroyed so you can blame Democrats. We know your sick little plan, ASSHOLE.

You know what one of your problems is, ASSHOLE? I mean besides Russia and the fact you’re a narcissist. You are a very jealous person. Mainly of one Barack Obama. It’s quite clear. Why else would you mention his name with everything you do? Instead of trying to do your own thing, you keep living in the light of Obama.

You’re jealous he had a larger inauguration crowd. You’re jealous he created a healthcare system that you can’t make better. So you’re going to make it worse or none at all. Shit, if you could you’d probably dig up Bin Laden and kill him again, just to say you did. And like the petulant child you are, you’re even trying to outdo Obama on Twitter by creating fake accounts. Some paid for. Some you created yourself. Guess you really know “fake”. You still have a long way to go before you catch Obama, Katy and Justin. Keep tweeting, ASSHOLE. That hole is getting bigger.

For most people, ASSHOLE, things usually get better. For you they will only get worse.

And get that “real” news to us soon, will ya? Enquiring minds want to know.

Respect Is Earned. Not Guaranteed.

You know why so many people (mainly ASSHOLE supporters) are in a tizzy over Stephen Colbert referring to ASSHOLE as Putin’s “cock-holster”? It’s not so much that they dislike what was said. It’s that they’re upset, even shocked, that someone FINALLY had the balls to say something derogatory against ASSHOLE. I think more people in the media, whether it be nighttime talk show hosts, daytime talk show hosts or journalists should speak out more. ASSHOLE deserves to be talked back to. It’s one thing he’s not expecting. All his life he’s believed he can say and do what he wants and get away with it. Colbert basically said “no more”. It’s been a long time coming.

Then there are the ASSHOLE supporters who cry “show some respect”. Respect for what? Why should anyone respect this ASSHOLE with all the bullshit he lays on us every day? Because of his “job” as “president”? There are many who have “jobs” as “CEO’s” but if they’re an asshole, they won’t be respected either. Respect is earned. Not guaranteed.

Why should anyone feel it’s okay to respect an ASSHOLE who mocks a disabled reporter? Why should anyone feel it’s okay to respect an ASSHOLE who says he grabs women by the pussy? Why should anyone feel it’s okay to respect an ASSHOLE who calls one of his senators “Pocahontas” because he doesn’t believe her nationality? Why should anyone feel it’s okay to respect ASSHOLE when he calls another senator “Little Marco” because of his height? Why should anyone feel it’s okay to respect ASSHOLE for calling a political opponent “crooked”, especially when HE’S the one who is crooked? Why should anyone feel it’s okay to respect ASSHOLE for banning people of one religion from our country, simply because he doesn’t like that religion? Why should anyone feel it’s okay to respect ASSHOLE for banning immigrants from our country, especially since the majority of us, including ASSHOLE himself, wouldn’t even BE here if not for immigration? Why should anyone feel it’s okay to respect ASSHOLE for allowing alleged Christian businesses to discriminate against someone who is LGBTQ? Why should anyone feel it’s okay to respect ASSHOLE for taking away our healthcare coverage? Why should anyone feel it’s okay to respect ASSHOLE for referring to any negative news about himself (which is most of the news) as “fake”, especially when we know it’s not? Why would anyone feel it’s okay to respect ASSHOLE for going on a national TV show for an interview, mock the title of the show, then abruptly end the interview because he didn’t like the way the interview was going? Why? Why WOULD anyone respect ASSHOLE or ANY of these things that he’s done? Why would anyone feel it’s okay? If you do feel it’s okay for ASSHOLE to do all this stuff, if you respect all this shit, then you’re just as bad as ASSHOLE.

Yet everyone in a tizzy feels it’s NOT okay for what Colbert said. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander, folks. If ASSHOLE can dish it out but can’t take it, then he shouldn’t play the game. Besides, with all the shit that spews from ASSSHOLE’S pie hole, using it as Putin’s cock-holster would be a step up.
