The Vaccine War

The Vaccine War

With so many pharmaceutical companies working around the clock to create a vaccine for COVID-19, you would think a vaccine is right around the corner.  Right?

That may be the case.  Some reports are saying we could have a vaccine as early as September.  Some say the fall.  Some say December.  Some say early 2021.  Those could all be true.  They could all be false.

Speaking from the perspective of a potential vaccine taker, let me tell you what I, as well as I’m certain many, want with a vaccine:

  1.  We don’t want it politicized.  In other words, we don’t want SHITHOLE pressuring the FDA or any pharmaceutical companies to hurry up and make this damn thing, then push through trials, just to say we have a vaccine.  And for the hopes that it will make SHITHOLE look good.  Even if they had an approved vaccine available tomorrow, it wouldn’t make SHITHOLE look good.  His chance to look “good” in America’s eyes has long passed.
  2. We want it to be safe.  Which means there are going to have to be many trials done with it.  It must be approved by the FDA.
  3. We want to know what kinds of side effects it may have, if any.  Can people who take certain medications be given this vaccine?
  4. We want transparency.  We want to know all the details of this vaccine before we decide to take it.
  5. We want to know, will need to know, if this is going to be a one time vaccine or will it be a yearly thing, like a flu shot.
  6. We want to know if you can be given the vaccine if you currently have the virus.  Can you be given the vaccine even if you never had the virus?  Can you be given the vaccine if you never completely recovered from the virus, as many people have not.
  7. Can infants be given the vaccine?  How about if you’re pregnant?  Have cancer?
  8. Who should be given the vaccine first?  Will there be enough for everyone around the world?
  9. Will there be enough to go around?  I remember only a few short years ago there was a flu vaccine shortage.
  10. Can we be guaranteed there will be no cost to us?  I’ve heard conflicting stories on this.  I pay nothing for a flu shot every year.  But this is very different.

If a vaccine is created but Americans cannot be given transparency and information about it, necessary to understand any risks, effects, etc., then why bother creating a vaccine?  We want a vaccine to try to help get our lives back to a somewhat pre-COVID-19 status.  We don’t want a vaccine that will kill us in the process.

When Johnny Returns to School

When Johnny Returns to School

With the return to school looming in the background for millions of American kids, questions still remain for many as to how they will be returning to school.  Will it be in an actual school building?  Will it be at home?  Will it be a combination of both?

If SHITHOLE had his way (which he won’t), all kids will go back to school within an actual building.  Because he believes if the kids are in school, then the parents can go back to work.  He couldn’t be more wrong.  Because it’s difficult for a person to go back to work when there isn’t a job to go back to.

Take for instance the furloughed nurse who lives next door to me.  She works in a medical office and was furloughed in April when the doctor’s office decided since they weren’t seeing as many patients in person (if any at all), they didn’t need to keep five nurses on staff.  So they kept two and furloughed the other three.  She still has not been called back to work and now she’s gotten word that the doctor’s office is closing and probably moving to another location.  She’s not even sure where.  They have kind of kept her out of the loop.  At this point she is kind of left hanging, not knowing if she should still wait to see if they call her back or try to look for another gig as a nurse at another doctor’s office. If she can find another position.  So when her kids go back to school at the end of August, chances are she won’t be working but instead looking for work.

How does the person who once ran a restaurant but was forced to close it because he couldn’t make it on doing take-out alone go back to work?  The small business loan he applied for didn’t come through for him.  So when his kids go back to school in two weeks, guess what he won’t be doing?  Working.  I take that back.  He’ll probably be working on helping his kids do their school work, since they’ll be doing it virtually at least through the fall.

So although SHITHOLE thinks he can snap his fat orange fingers and make all the kiddies go back to school and all the parents go back to work, he can’t.  He has no idea how parenting and working works.

What The U.S. Needs

What The U.S. Needs

At this point in time, what is it that the United States needs?  It needs a lot.  A decent leader would be a start.  We’re working on getting one on November 3.  In the meantime, we’ll deal with the SHITHOLE that we have.

The CDC has recently stated that “if all of us would put on a face covering now for the next four weeks, six weeks, we could drive this epidemic to the ground.”  I’m not sure it would drive the epidemic to the ground, but it would help immensely.  If the United States was smart (but we’re not because we have the dumbest leader in the world), we would have completely locked down back in March, or earlier, as other countries did.  But as long as there are assholes in the country who refuse to wear a mask or cooperate with a lockdown, we’re always going to have a problem with the virus.  And then you have SHITHOLE who disagrees with the CDC and says “No, I want people to have a certain freedom, and I don’t believe in that, no.”  Yes, he wants people to have the freedom to get sick and possibly die.  Having SHITHOLE at the helm has not helped the United States one bit.  In fact, having him “in charge” has hindered it greatly.

There are idiots in this country who believe that the coronavirus was created by Democrats to stop SHITHOLE.  If that were the case, we would’ve created it four years ago to stop him from becoming “president”.  Besides, Democrats and the Republicans who also can’t stand SHITHOLE have much better things to do than to sit around all day creating a virus.

In retrospect, the coronavirus was SHITHOLE’S time to shine.  It really was.  It was his chance to show the United States how he could be great leader.  You know, finally step up to the plate and succeed in getting people what they need to fight the virus.  If he had stepped up initially and kept stepping up, he may actually be leading in the polls and may have actually had a chance to be re-elected.  But he has failed.  Tremendously.  He couldn’t even provide enough PPE to his medical providers. Five months into this and he’s still having trouble getting tests and tracing done in a timely fashion.  He cannot even show empathy for the dead.  He doesn’t feel any of this is his responsibility but yes, it is.  Because he’s allegedly “president” of the United States.

SHITHOLE doesn’t want the entire country to wear face masks because he’s not the one who came up with that idea.  It came from the CDC.  Which consists of many people much smarter than SHITHOLE.  The only ideas SHITHOLE can come up with are for people to take a malaria drug that will probably kill them, inject disinfectant into their veins and shove UV lights up their asses.

Wouldn’t it be so much easier to just wear a damn face mask?
