Why Would You Want To?

Why Would You Want To?

Sean Doolittle should not second guess himself on his decision to not attend his team’s White House gathering.  It takes a lot to stand for what you believe in.  He should be proud of himself.  He’s part of a baseball team that won the World Series.  It shouldn’t matter if he visits the White House.  It’s not going to make him, or any other member of the Nationals, any more a winner whether they visit or not.  Doolittle has no issue with his teammates visiting and his teammates respect his wishes as well.  Which is cool.  That’s how it should be.

Yet there are many who are riled up about Doolittle refusing to visit the White House.  Some say he’s wrong because he’s not honoring the office of the “Presidency”.  Folks, Doolittle is a baseball player.  He won a baseball game.  The “host” at the White House got booed at a baseball game because he’s an asshole.  Doolittle doesn’t need to honor an asshole.  Nobody needs to.  If there’s anything Doolittle would honor, it’s the game of baseball.

I’m sure Doolittle would love to visit the White House itself.  After all, it’s just a house.  If the “host” were not present, Doolittle may not have an issue visiting the House.  But it’s who “resides” in the House, who will be “hosting” the visit (more than likely with hamberders and fries), that is the problem.  The “host”, as the world knows, is someone who is against inclusion, something Doolittle is very much in support of.  The “host” mocked a disabled reporter.  Doolittle has an autistic brother-in-law.  So anyone with half a brain should be able to understand why Doolittle does not want to visit the White House.  And if you can’t understand it, or refuse to, then you’re simply ignorant

Instead of people asking why Sean Doolittle won’t visit the White House, people should be asking why anyone would want to visit the White House.  Especially with its current inhabitant.

Doolittle said it best when he gave this explanation, which is all the explanation he needs to give, if any at all:

“People say you should go because it’s about respecting the office of the president.  And I think over the course of his time in office he’s done a lot of things that maybe don’t respect the office.”

We can speculate until the cows come home as to who wrote the anonymous op-ed piece for the New York Times.  We didn’t know who Deep Throat was either but eventually learned his identity. We’ll find out soon enough.

But I feel the real point of the article is that the writer, someone high up in the SHITHOLE “administration”, is not very happy with what’s happening before their eyes. Join the club.

What bothers me, but does not surprise me, is the contradictions and hypocrisy in the article. And the fact this person won’t do anything to save his country.

In one paragraph it states: “To be clear, ours is not the popular “resistance” of the left. We want the administration to succeed and think that many of its policies have already made America safer and more prosperous.”

Then the very next paragraph reads:

“But we believe our first duty is to this country, and the president continues to act in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic.”

If you want the SHITHOLE “administration” to “succeed”, how can you put your first duty to this country? Because SHITHOLE doesn’t believe in our country. Especially when you also say SHITHOLE “acts in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic”.  I’d also like to know what “policies” have already made America safer and more prosperous. Until you do something about the NRA and create gun reform, America will never be safe. And if you think your great big “tax reform” and tariffs are making us prosperous, you’re not as intelligent as I first thought.

Then there’s the hypocrisy.  When you state:

“Don’t get me wrong. There are bright spots that the near-ceaseless negative coverage of the administration fails to capture: effective deregulation, historic tax reform, a more robust military and more.

But these successes have come despite — not because of — the president’s leadership style, which is impetuous, adversarial, petty and ineffective.”

So, in other words this person is saying that although SHITHOLE reversed everything Obama did because he’s a petty jealous man, it all happened not really because he did it. Also, we’re still waiting for the effective deregulation, any kind of good tax reform, where EVERYONE benefits, and our military isn’t any more robust than it’s ever been. Plus SHITHOLE hates our military. And this anonymous author failed to mention the thousands of children taken from their parents, many of whom still have yet to be reunited.

All thanks to SHITHOLE.

The biggest and scariest piece of hypocrisy:

“Given the instability many witnessed, there were early whispers within the cabinet of invoking the 25th Amendment, which would start a complex process for removing the president. But no one wanted to precipitate a constitutional crisis. So we will do what we can to steer the administration in the right direction until — one way or another — it’s over.”

You know he’s mentally unstable. You complain about him enough to write an anonymous article. Yet you don’t do anything about it. Why? So you can keep a job? For what? You don’t want a “constitutional crisis”. You’re already done. All of you are done. None of you will ever work in the political world ever again. Shit, you’re going to have way more than a “crisis” on your hands when this shit show is through.

There is nothing anonymous about this person. They know who they are. The Times knows. This person is nothing special. But the question remains what does this person want for America? Because this person can bitch all they want about a situation they put themselves into, something they accepted, something unlike the rest of America, has control over and can do something directly about but won’t. Whatever happens to this person, and something will, have no pity. They, like the rest of the SHITHOLE “administration”, deserve everything they get. Read more

Like so many others, I find all the revelations of sexual harassment, sexual abuse and pedophilia coming out of Hollywood, Alabama, The White House, Congress and other places to be disturbing.  What has happened to these women and men is wrong and should not be happening to anyone, anywhere, ever.

I think the #MeToo movement has been great.  It’s given women and some men a means to speak out.  Maybe it will help them finally heal after so many years.  As a victim of child molestation myself, I healed many years ago when I was a teenager.  I don’t dwell on what happened.  To me there is no point.  I can’t change what happened to me but I can make sure it doesn’t happen to my daughter or niece.  If you dwell on something that happened in the past you’ll never move forward.

These women and men have come forward, told their stories and destructed the men who hurt them.  As long as it makes them feel better, that’s all that matters.  I’m not sure if they were planning to get anything else out of it but the abusers certainly got what they deserved.

Aside from my own experience, I admit I have been the witness to sexual harassment and did nothing about it.  Both incidents were very embarrassing to see, one especially since I knew the woman involved and considered her a friend.  When you are in a crowded room full of men and women what are you to do?  There were so many on-lookers during both of these incidents, any one of us could have said or done something.  Even the women it happened to could’ve said or done something.  The woman presenting an award who was forcibly kissed by the recipient and then had her breast groped by the recipient should’ve slapped the recipient right there in front of everyone.  It would have served him right and certainly would’ve bruised his ego. The woman who was conversing with her boyfriend when the celebrity man came up behind her and pinched her ass should have had her boyfriend punch the celebrity’s lights out.  I doubt he’d be pinching any asses after that.

I’m sure these abused individuals had their own reasons for staying silent for so long.  Whether it be from fear, threats, embarrassment, etc.  What we need to understand now is that it is not okay to remain silent.  If you were attacked on the street would you remain silent?  Why should it be any different during an audition, during a meet-and-greet, during a party?

There are laws that exist that protect people from sexual harassment, abuse and discrimination.  Right now there are numerous cases/lawsuits happening.  To read about these, as well as obtain more information on what to do in these cases, especially if they occur in the workplace, check out the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission web site at www.eeoc.gov.
